This work titled ‘Traces -Said Hodja’s Memorial-’ is dedicated to the memory of the late Said .zdemir, who left lasting effects on the lives of many people with his life of knowledge, wisdom and service. The book deals with his scholarly accumulation, exemplary personality and services to the society in a multi-faceted way. The book sheds light on the social, cultural and religious aspects of the period in which Hodja Said lived by including both personal testimonies and academic analyses. Said Hodja’s educational activities, religious services and Qur’an-centred way of thinking are emphasised; at the same time, his humility, wisdom and deep influence on human relations are described. In the last part of the work, some of his friends share their personal memories of him, while others evaluate his scholarly legacy. In this respect, the book is both a biographical memorial book and a portrait of ideas and service. In addition, the book aims to set an example for the next generations by carrying the traces of a life in which science and service are carried out together. In this respect, it represents not only Said Hodja, but also the wisdom tradition of Anatolia.
