Bu eser, Kur’an-ı Kerîm’de temel kavramlardan biri olarak öne çıkan Tâğut’u çok yönlü bir bakış açısıyla ele alan kapsamlı bir inceleme sunmaktadır. Çalışma, öncelikle Tâğut kavramının etimolojik kökenini ve kavramsal çerçevesini ortaya koyarak, bu kavramın Kur’an’daki kullanım biçimlerini sistematik bir şekilde analiz etmektedir. Bu bağlamda Tâğut’un yalnızca teorik bir terim olmadığı aynı zamanda tarihsel, sosyolojik ve fikirsel karşılıkları bulunan dinamik bir olgu olduğu vurgulanmaktadır. Eserde, klasik ve temel tefsir kaynaklarında Tâğut kavramına dair yapılan yorumlar mukayeseli biçimde değerlendirilmiş, müfessirlerin konuya yaklaşımları bütüncül bir perspektifle ortaya konulmuştur. Bunun yanı sıra Kur’an’da yer alan Tâğut tipolojisi detaylı biçimde incelenmiş, farklı Tâğut türleri sınıflandırılarak bunların bireysel, toplumsal ve siyasal düzlemlerde nasıl tezahür ettiği somut örnekler üzerinden açıklanmıştır. Kur’an’da zikredilen Tâğutî örnekler analiz edilerek kavramın pratik boyutu da görünür kılınmıştır. Elde edilen bulgular ışığında Tâğut düşüncesi tahlil odaklı bir yaklaşımla yorumlanmış, kavramın İslam düşüncesindeki yeri, anlam sınırları ve güncel yorum imkânları ele alınarak okuyucuya derinlikli ve tutarlı bir değerlendirme sunulmuştur.
Tāghut in the Context of the Qurʾān
This work offers a comprehensive study that examines the concept
of Tāghūt, one of the fundamental notions in the Qur’ān al-Karīm,
through a multidimensional perspective. The study first explores the
etymological origins and conceptual framework of Ṭāghūt, and then
systematically analyzes its modes of usage within the Qur’an. In this
context, it emphasizes that Ṭāghūt is not merely a theoretical construct,
but rather a dynamic phenomenon with historical, sociological,
and intellectual dimensions. The book further provides a comparative
evaluation of how the concept of Ṭāghūt has been interpreted
in classical and major works of tafsīr, presenting the approaches of
exegetes within a coherent and holistic framework. In addition, it offers
a detailed examination of the typology of Ṭāghūt in the Qur’an,
classifying its various forms and illustrating how these manifest across
individual, social, and political levels through concrete examples. By
analyzing the Ṭāghūt-related cases mentioned in the Qur’an, the study
also brings to light the practical dimension of the concept. Drawing on
these findings, the work interprets the notion of Ṭāghūt through an
analytical lens, addressing its place within Islamic thought, its conceptual
boundaries, and its potential for contemporary interpretation. In
doing so, it provides the reader with a nuanced, coherent, and academically
grounded assessment of the concept.
