Hadisler Hz. Peygamber’in (sas) hayata dair söyledikleri, davranışları ve tutumlarını bize haber verir. Hz. Peygamber, son dinin elçisi olarak Allah’ın mesajını hayatla buluşturmuştur. O, vahiy kontrolünde hareket eden bir peygamber olduğu kadar Arap toplumunda, Hicaz topraklarında yaşayan, o günkü kültürün bir ferdi olarak da yaşamını sürdürmüştür. Sünnet ve Hz. Peygamber’in yaşadığı kültürün karşılıklı etkileşim içerisinde olması kaçınılmaz olmuştur. Sünnet, mevcut kültüre renk verirken, ondan da etkilenmiştir. Bu etkilenme, toptan veya genel bir mahiyet arz etmeyip bazen teyit edici, bazen reddedici kimi zaman da süzgeçten geçirerek revize edici bir işleve işaret eder. Bu çalışmada Sünnetin ana malzemesi olan hadisler ile Resulullah’ın yaşadığı kültürün birbirini karşılıklı etkilemesi yani bir etkileşim içerisinde bulunmaları ele alınmıştır. Her iki olgunun da karşılıklı bir etkileşim içerisinde olduğu görülmüştür. Nitekim Resulullah (sas) yaşadığı toplumdaki kültürüne tamamen reddetmiş ne de olduğu gibi kabul etmiştir. Doğal olarak kaldırılması gereken kültürel öğeler varsa onlara karşı tavır almış; yaşatılması gereken, fıtrata ve İslam’a ters düşmeyen kültürel unsurları da teyit ederek olduğu hal üzere bırakmış; düzeltilmesi, iyileştirilmesi ve İslam’a uyarlanması gerekenleri de değiştirip dönüştürerek yeni bir hale getirmiştir. Bunun yanında ümmetin peygamberi olarak son din İslam’ın temsilcisi sıfatıyla ortaya koyduğu hayat tarzı olan sünneti, doğal olarak Müslüman kültürü etkilemiş ve şekillendirmiştir.

An Examination in the Context of Mutual Interaction
Hadiths convey to us the words, actions, and attitudes of the Prophet
Muhammad (sas) regarding life. As the messenger of the final religion
(İslam), the Prophet Muhammad brought Allah’s message to life. He
was a prophet who acted under divine revelation, but he also lived as a
member of the Arab society and the culture of the Hijaz region at that
time. It was inevitable that the Sunnah and the culture in which the
Prophet lived would interact with each other. While the Sunnah added
color to the existing culture, it was also influenced by it. This influence
was not wholesale or general in nature; sometimes it was confirmatory,
sometimes rejective, and sometimes it served a revising function by
filtering and refining. This study examines the mutual influence between
the hadiths, which are the main material of the Sunnah, and the
culture in which the Messenger of Allah lived, that is, their interaction
with each other. It has been seen that both phenomena interacted with
each other. Indeed, the Messenger of Allah, neither completely rejected
the culture of the society in which he lived nor accepted it as it was.
Naturally, if there were cultural elements that needed to be removed,
he took a stance against them; he confirmed the cultural elements that
needed to be preserved, that were not contrary to human nature and
Islam, and left them as they were; he changed and transformed those
that needed to be corrected, improved, and adapted to Islam, giving
them a new form. In addition, as the Prophet of the ummah and the
representative of the final religion, Islam, he established the Sunnah, a
way of life that naturally guides Muslims.
