İnsanları doğruya yönlendirmek, onlara dünya ve ahiret saadetine götüren yolu göstermek amacıyla indirilen ilahi kitapların sonuncusu olan Kur’ân-ı Kerîm, bir hidayet kitabı olmasının yanında, çağlara hitap eden özellikleri ile yüksek bir değer taşımaktadır. Kıraat ilmi ise Kur’ân-ı Kerîm’in tilavetine katkısı ve anlaşılmasını kolaylaştırması bakımından önemi haiz ilimlerden biridir. Sahabe bu ilmin öğrenilmesi ve gelecek nesillere aktarılması konusunda büyük çaba sarf etmişlerdir. Abdullah b. Mesʻûd, İslâmî ilimlerin hemen her alanında bilgi ve tecrübesiyle meşhur olmuş çok yönlü bir şahsiyettir. Sahabe arasında Hz.
Peygamber’in övgüsüne mazhar olmuş birkaç kurrâ isimden birisidir. Bu bakımdan İbn Mesʻûd kanalıyla gelen kıraat vucuhatının genel serencamının belirlenmesi, İbn Mesʻûd’un arzâlara, Kur’ân’ın cem‘ ve istinsahına katılma durumu, hem onun kıraat anlayışının hem de kıraat ilminin gelişim safhalarının bilinmesi açısından değerlidir. Genel olarak Şâz kıraat kategorisinde değerlendirilen İbn Mesʻûd kıraatinin konu edildiği çalışmamız giriş ve üç bölümden oluşmaktadır. Giriş bölümünde araştırmamızın amaç ve kapsamı ile birlikte Abdullah b. Mesʻûd’un hayatını konu edindik. Birinci bölümde, İbn Mesʻûd dönemi ve sonrasında kıraat ilminin genel seyrini ele aldık. İkinci bölümde İbn Mesʻûd okuyuşlarının günümüz kıraat algısı içerisinde nerede yer aldığını tespit etmeye çalıştık. Üçüncü bölümde ise Kur’ân ve kıraat tarihi açısından son derece kıymete hâiz olan İbn Mesʻûd’a ait Mushaf’ı tahlil etmeye gayret ettik. Sonuç bölümünde ise ulaştığımız neticeleri ve kanaatlerimizi sunduk.

The Quran that is the last book revealed by Allah to show the truth
to people and also the way that is world and hereafter’s happiness is
valuable with its features that address all ages. The Recitation is one of
the important sciences concerning facilitating the understanding of the
Quran. The Sahaba-ı Kiram and the next scholars have made great efforts
in transferring this knowledge to future generations to learn them.
Abdullah b. Masʻud, knowledge and experience in almost every field of
Islamic Sciences has distinguished it self with a versatile personality he
is. Abdullah b. Mesud commended by the Prophet Muhammad about
the science of the Quran is one of the few whom. It is important that
Ibn Mesud joined collection and reproduction of the Quran for His recitation
and science of recitation in generally.
We created five parts with introduction and conclusion our thesis that
is about Abdullah Mesud’s recitation that is evaluated Şâz recitation in
general. We have studied Abdullah b. Mesud’s life and our research’s
goal and scope in part of introduction. In the first chapter, we have
studied period of Ibn Mesud and next generations in terms of advancement
of recitation. In the second chapter, we have tried to determine
related to between Ibn Mesud’s recitation and today’s recitations. In the
third chapter, we have analyzed Ibn Mesud’s Quran which is precious in
terms of history of Quran and recitation. In the conclusion part, as we
have discussed in the text, we presented the results we have achieved
and our conclusions.
