İslâm düşünce geleneğinde aile kurumu, yalnızca toplumsal bir yapı değil; aynı zamanda dinî, ahlâkî ve nesiller arası sürekliliği teminat altına alan temel bir müessese olarak kabul edilmiştir. Bu bağlamda kadının aile içindeki konumu hem ontolojik hem de normatif boyutlarıyla daima merkezî bir mesele olmuştur. Elinizdeki çalışma, Hz. Peygamber’in (s.a.s) rivayetleri ekseninde Müslüman kadının aile içindeki yerini, görev ve sorumluluklarını sistematik ve bütüncül bir perspektifle ele almaktadır. Eserde, kadının aile yapısı içerisindeki konumu; eş ve anne kimliği çerçevesinde üstlendiği sorumluluklar başta olmak üzere, çocuk terbiyesi, aile mahremiyetinin korunması, aile içi sırların muhafazası, çocuklar arasında adalet ilkesinin gözetilmesi, kız çocuklarının eğitimi, kadının sosyal hayattaki konumlanışı ve çalışma hayatına katılımı gibi çok katmanlı sorumluluk alanları bağlamında ele alınmaktadır. Bu çerçevede çalışma, söz konusu sorumluluk alanlarını hadis literatürü perspektifinden analiz ederek, aile kurumunun inşası ve sürekliliğinde kadının üstlendiği merkezî rolü teorik ve rivayet temelli bir zeminde temellendirmeyi hedeflemektedir. Çalışma, kadının konumunu ilk insanın yaratılışından itibaren ele alarak, onun varoluşsal değerinin ve toplumsal fonksiyonunun sürekliliğine dikkat çekmektedir. Modernleşme ve teknolojik dönüşümlerin kadının toplumsal sorumluluklarını çeşitlendirdiği günümüzde, İslâm’ın insan hayatını bütüncül biçimde düzenleyen ilkesel yapısı içinde aile kurumuna ve nesillerin inşasına verilen önem özellikle öne çıkmaktadır. Bu anlamda çalışma, Hz. Peygamber’e (s.a.s) nispet edilen rivayetleri temel referans olarak almakta ve modern düşünce ile feminist teorilerin kadına atfettiği anlamlandırma biçimlerini İslâmî rivayet geleneğinin perspektifiyle mukayeseli biçimde analiz etmektedir. Sonuç olarak çalışma, Hz. Peygamber’in (s.a.s) rivayetleri ekseninde kadının aile içindeki yerini normatif, tarihsel ve ahlâkî boyutlarıyla ele alarak kadının yaratılış gayesi ve aile içindeki işlevi konusunda rivayet merkezli bir perspektif geliştirmektedir. Bu yönüyle eser, hadis literatürüne dayalı aile araştırmalarını derinleştirmekte ve kadının aile içindeki konumuna ilişkin güncel tartışmalara teorik ve metodolojik düzlemde katkı sağlamaktadır.
Women and Family Life in the Hadiths
In the Islamic intellectual tradition, the institution of the family has
been regarded not merely as a social structure, but as a foundational
entity that safeguards religious, moral, and intergenerational continuity.
Within this framework, the position of women in the family has
consistently constituted a central issue, both in ontological and normative
terms. The present study examines the place, duties, and responsibilities
of Muslim women within the family through a systematic and
holistic perspective grounded in the Prophetic traditions (riwāyāt).
The work addresses the multifaceted responsibilities of women within
the family structure, including their roles as wives and mothers, child
upbringing, the preservation of family privacy, the safeguarding of intra-
family confidentiality, the observance of justice among children,
the education of daughters, women’s positioning in social life, and their
participation in working life. In this respect, the study analyzes these
areas of responsibility through the lens of the hadith literature, seeking
to provide a theoretical and tradition-based grounding for the central
role women assume in the formation and continuity of the family institution.
The study further approaches the position of women from the
moment of the creation of the first human being, emphasizing the continuity
of their existential value and social function. In an era marked
by modernization and technological transformation—processes that
have diversified women’s social responsibilities—the importance attributed
to the family institution and the construction of future generations
within Islam’s holistic and principled framework is brought to the
fore. Accordingly, the study takes the Prophetic traditions as its primary
frame of reference and offers a comparative analysis between the roles
and interpretive frameworks attributed to women in modern thought
and feminist theories and those articulated within the Islamic tradition
of hadith. Ultimately, the work aims to reread the position of women
within the family through normative, historical, and moral dimensions
centered on the Prophetic traditions, and to develop a hadith-based
perspective concerning women’s created purpose and familial function.
In this regard, the study contributes to the deepening of family
research grounded in hadith literature and provides a theoretical and
methodological contribution to contemporary debates on women’s position
within the family.
