Lessons in the History of Religions from Georges Dumézil
(Translation of the History of Edyan Lessons)
With the publication of the Translation of the History of Eden Lessons in Turkish, the lectures delivered by a young scholar who, after his post-Istanbul life, would become a master of twentieth-century religious history, particularly comparative Indo-European mythology and linguistics, are now available to readers eighty-five years later. I believe they will play a significant role both in contributing to the literature on the history of religions in Türkiye and in filling a significant missing link in the history of religious studies in Türkiye.
