Be Healthy! Spiritually and Physically
Man, the most perfect of all creations, has learned from very bitter experiences from the first day that he has to comply with basic health arguments while continuing his life. He has constantly researched and continues to research ways and methods to maintain his standard of living by perfecting it.
Since ancient philosophers, the field of health has been carefully evaluated as both mental and physical health, and important recommendations have been put forward. It is emphasized that humans are considered to be dualistic beings with their physical and mental structures, and that they gain vitality through the union of these two. The health of both parts reveals the value of a person. From a basic perspective, a person who is about to spend a certain period of time in the worldly life can leave a mark by becoming competent with his behaviors. The individual’s competence also first passes through protecting his physical and mental health.
Mental health initially takes precedence over physical health. Achieving mental health is possible by getting rid of diseases that negatively affect mental health. The first warnings on this subject are seen to have been made by the philosopher Kindî in his treatise Defu’l-Ahzan (Ways of Getting Rid of Sadness). The individual will first know what the causes of sadness are, and then will be able to cope with them.
This study aims to contribute to the individual’s healthy and happy time period throughout life. The individual’s ability to achieve mental health is in his own hands. The individual must gain the competence to overcome his troubles and rehabilitate himself. This competence will contribute to the happiness of the individual.
