“Osmanlı’da İlim ve Kültür: Eserler Seçkisi” başlıklı çalışma, Osmanlı medeniyetinin ilmi ve kültürel birikimini, farklı alanlarda üretilmiş seçkin eserler aracılığıyla ele almayı hedefleyen bir çalışmadır. Eserde, Osmanlı düşünce dünyasının temel unsurlarını meydana getiren eserler, tarihsel bağlamları ve Osmanlı düşünce geleneğine yaptıkları katkılar doğrultusunda ele alınmıştır. Bu bağlamda, kitabın temel amacı, Osmanlı ilim ve kültür geleneğinin entelektüel sürekliliğini ve dönüşümünü eserler üzerinden ortaya koymaktır. Eser, Osmanlı ilim ve kültür hayatının zenginliğini, İslami ilimlerden edebiyata, hukuktan mimariye kadar uzanan geniş bir yelpazede tanıtmaktadır. Bu eserler, yalnızca meydana getirildikleri dönemin bilimsel ve entelektüel atmosferini yansıtmakla kalmayıp, aynı zamanda Osmanlı toplumunun dini, sosyal ve kültürel yapısının şekillenmesindeki etkilerini de ortaya koymaya çalışmaktadır. Science and Culture in the Ottoman A Selection of Works
The work titled “Science and Culture in the Ottoman: A Selection of Works” aims to explore the scientific and cultural heritage of the Ottoman civilization through selected works produced in various fields. In the book, the works that constitute the fundamental elements of Ottoman intellectual life are examined in terms of their historical contexts and contributions to the Ottoman thought tradition. The main objective of this work is to reveal the intellectual continuity and transformation of Ottoman science and culture through these works. The work introduces the richness of Ottoman intellectual and cultural life, spanning a wide range from Islamic sciences to literature, law to architecture. These works reflect the scientific and intellectual atmosphere of the period in which they were created and aim to reveal their impact on shaping the religious, social, and cultural structure of Ottoman society. As essential products of the Islamic scientific tradition, these works provide significant data in understanding the crucial elements of the Ottoman scientific tradition and the connections between this tradition and contemporary Turkey.
