Varlık aleminin en mükemmel varlığı olarak günümüzde de varlığını devam ettiren insan, sosyal hayatını sürdürürken belirli normları uygulama alanında tespit etmiş ve onlarla uyumlu bir süreci yönetmiştir. Bu süreç boyunca birçok kural ve değerlerin uygulamasını da gerçekleştirmiştir. Yirmi birinci yüzyılın ilk çeyreğini idrak etmekte olduğumuz günümüzde siyaset ve ahlak kavramları hâlâ dikkat çekmektedir. Düşünce tarihinin en önemli konularından olan bu iki kavramın içeriği ve uygulamaları üzerinde farklı disiplinlere mensup bilim insanlarının değerlendirmeleri de önem kazanmaktadır. Toplumun bireylerinin yönetişiminde yetkinleşmesi gerekmektedir. Bu yetkinleşme temel erdemler olan hikmet, iffet, şecaat ve adalet çerçevesinde oluşmalıdır. Siyaset ve ahlak kavramları çağlar öncesinden günümüze kadar insanlığı meşgul etmiş önemli kavramlardandır. Topluluk ve devlet halinde yaşamak mecburiyetinde olan insanoğlunun bu iki konudan müstağni kalabilmesi mümkün görülmemektedir. Farklı alanlara mensup bilim insanlarının ortaya koydukları bölümler eserde okuyucuların istifadesine sunulmuştur. Bu çalışmalar, “siyaset ve ahlak” alanına İslam Felsefesi, Dinler Tarihi, İslam Tarihi, Türk İslam Edebiyat Tarihi, Din Psikolojisi, Hadis ve İslam Hukuku gibi muhtelif disiplinlerin bakışlarından bir numune sunmaktadır.

As the most perfect being in the world of existence, humans, who continue their existence today, have determined certain norms in the field of application while continuing their social life and have managed a process compatible with them. During this process, they have also implemented many rules and values. Today, as we are comprehending the first quarter of the twenty-first century, the concepts of politics and morality still attract attention. The evaluations of scientists from different disciplines on the content and applications of these two concepts, which are among the most important issues in the history of thought, are also gaining importance. The individuals of the society need to become competent in their governance. This competence should occur within the framework of the basic virtues of wisdom, chastity, courage and justice. The concepts of politics and morality are important concepts that have occupied humanity from the ages to the present. It does not seem possible for humans, who have to live in a community and a state, to remain independent of these two issues. The sections put forward by scientists from different fields are presented to the benefit of the readers in the work. These studies present a sample of the perspectives of various disciplines such as Islamic Philosophy, History of Religions, History of Islam, History of Turkish Islamic Literature, Psychology of Religion, Hadith and Islamic Law in the field of “politics and ethics”.
