Mersin Latin Italian Catholic Church Beliefs and Practices
This work examines the Catholic Church, one of the fundamental Christian sects, focusing on the Latin Italian Catholic Church of Mersin. The church's founding, history, and development, the faith of its congregation, and the rituals performed there, along with how and when these were performed, constitute the main focus of our study.
With the data we collect, we aim to better understand the Catholic Church community with whom we share a common geography. We believe that if we achieve this goal, we will gain a greater understanding of this religion and its adherents. Furthermore, we believe that "tolerance," the common denominator of religions, is of little benefit without this knowledge.
The differences of our study from other works on this subject are that almost all of our sources are based on works prepared by Catholic Christians and that the History of Religions was written in line with the principle of objectivity, which is one of the most important methods of the Phenomenology of Religion.
