Human Psychology in the Quran
(In terms of negative moods and behaviors)
This work, a thematic exegesis, aims to examine the psychological characteristics of humans. Undoubtedly, the most fundamental purpose of the Quran and Sunnah is to identify the factors within a person's spiritual depths that hinder their turning to God, present these to their insight, and awaken a heightened awareness of their relationship with God. This is among the most fundamental purposes and important themes of the Quran and Sunnah. Because the Quran and Sunnah are based on humans, humans are not merely biological beings who hunger, sleep, thirst, and satisfy their desires. They are creatures filled with mysteries, possessing spiritual aptitudes and emotions unparalleled in any other living being, imagination and contemplation, impulses and complexes, and whose depths cannot be fully grasped. Indeed, the ability of a person to sometimes suspend biological needs like hunger and sleep while pursuing their rich inner world reveals a distinct dimension within them.
